A CURE FOR THOSE NASTY BRAINWORMS

HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE AND CLOROX INJECTIONS REVISITED
Conservative media platforms are recommending use of ivermectin as an alternative to vaccines, masks, social distancing, and hand washing.
My expertise in infectious diseases, human pharmacology, and veterinary medicine goes back . . . minutes, placing me on equal footing with those faux experts spewing dangerous nonsense from conservative media platforms, yes, the ones who politicize everything including the safety and lives of children and everyone else.

The FDA, indeed, has approved ivermectin as a prescription medication for human use, “not to treat or to prevent COVID-19” but to treat two intestinal conditions in humans caused by roundworms, threadworms, and other parasitic worms. The FDA also approved ivermectin for topical use “to treat external parasites like head lice and skin conditions such as rosacea.” Explaining that the “coronavirus” is . . . a “virus,” the FDA’s warning is explicit that ivermectin is “not an anti-viral (a drug for treating viruses).” Strike one.

The FDA recently put out the seemingly noncontroversial statement that it’s not such a good idea for humans to use medications and treatments such as invermectin prepared for large farm animals. “Never use medications intended for animals on yourself. Ivermectin preparations for animals are very different from those approved for humans.” They may be readily available at your local IFA without a prescription — or were until those with the dangerous proclivity to watch Fox News — an underlying comorbidity — made a run on them at farmers’ cooperatives — but “animal drugs are often highly concentrated because they are used for large animals like horses and cows, which can weigh a lot more that we do — a ton or more. Such high doses can be highly toxic in humans.” “Taking large doses of this drug is dangerous and can cause serious harm.” Strike two.

Using very simple words, the FDA also explains that it reviews drugs not just for the active ingredients, but the inactive ingredients. “Many inactive ingredients found in animal products aren’t evaluated for use in people. Or they are included in much greater quantity than those used in people. In some cases, we don’t know how those inactive ingredients will affect how ivermectin is absorbed in the human body.” Strike Three.

“Even the levels of ivermectin for approved uses can interact with other medications, like blood-thinners. You can also overdose on ivermectin, which can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, hypotension (low blood pressure), allergic reactions (itching and hives), dizziness, ataxia (problems with balance), seizures, coma and even death.” Strike four.
You’re dead.
*My brother the very talented fiction writer and novelist, Robert Hodgson Van Wagoner, deserves considerable credit for offering both substantive and technical suggestions to https://medium.com/@richardvanwagoner and https://lastamendment.com. Rob’s second novel, a beautifully written suspense drama that takes place in Utah, Wyoming, and Norway, dropped on November 17, 2020. Available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Apple Bookstore and your favorite local bookshop, this novel, The Contortionists, which Rob himself narrates for the audio version, is a psychological page-turner about a missing child in a predominantly Mormon community. I have read the novel and listened to the audio version twice. It is a literary masterpiece. The Contortionists is not, however, for the faint of heart.
**Richard J Van Wagoner is my father. His list of honors, awards and professional associations is extensive. He was Professor Emeritus (Painting and Drawing), Weber State University, having served three Appointments as Chair of the Department of Visual Arts there. He guest-lectured and instructed at many universities and juried numerous shows and exhibitions. He was invited to submit his work as part of many shows and exhibitions, and his work was exhibited in many traveling shows domestically and internationally. My daughter Angela Moore, a professional photographer, photographed more than 500 pieces of my father’s work. On behalf of the Van Wagoner Family Trust, she is in the process of compiling a collection of his artwork. The photographs of my father’s art reproduced in https://medium.com/@richardvanwagoner and https://lastamendment.com are hers.
