Should Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) Be Charged With RICO?*
But first, a comment on god’s judgment of sexual escapades at Burning Man and Lee’s call to defund the military.
I recently suggested there would be little time for anything else if I posted each time the senior senator from Utah said something stupid. This week has been full-on whack-a-mole.
My primary focus here is on recent events, including Mark Meadows’s fiasco in Georgia federal court, which brought back to mind Senator Lee’s participation in the illegal efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
Before I dive into that, however, I should mention Lee’s support of the Tommy Tuberville stonewall of advancing military leadership and the Utah senator’s call this week for Republicans to defund the military over its abortion policy: it’s best to weaken the full military apparatus and put the entire country at risk.
I would be further remiss if I didn’t mention Lee’s silly claim that the flooding caused by heavy rains at Burning Man, which delayed and complicated attendees’ departure, was god’s judgment for wild sexual activities performed at the festival — and, apparently, not the product of Lee’s significantly more sinful pro-carbon agenda that helps fund his campaigns.
